Due to the fact that glaucoma is a chronic disease, one of the major causes of permanent blindness, my objective as a glaucoma sub-specialist is to provide scientific and personal support to my patients and their families. This is achieved through specialized evaluations and follow-ups, that allow timely medical or surgical treatment that help control eye pressure and avoid or minimize eyesight deterioration. As a glaucoma sub-specialist, I am focused in performing treatments such as trabeculectomy, ExPRESS shunt, Ahmed Valve, YAG laser iridotomy, and laser trabeculoplasty, which can be combined with Cataract Surgery whenever necessary.
